Big Brother star reveals she was ‘punched, kicked and verbally abused’ in air rage row over reclined seat on £1k flight

FORMER Big Brother housemate Narinder Kaur has told of her ‘shock ‘ following a mid-flight fight that left her fuming.

Taking to X, formerly Twitter, the reality star claims she had a terrible experience on board a recent Air India flight, and alleges the on board crew for failing to do anything about it.

The reality TV star alleged the ‘attack’ happened mid-air on a recent Air India flight

She said: “AIR RAGE is real and I had a terrible experience with a woman literally punching and kicking my seat forward as it was reclined (I was sleeping) whilst she was trying to eat behind me.”

“She literally flung me forward and I didn’t have my belt on.”

“She proceeded to verbally abuse me. FYI she wasn’t even drunk @airindia.”

She continued: “Your staff failed to give me options on having her arrested on landing. Why are there no legal consequences for unruly and violent passengers?

“Why is there a lack of clarity on who has the jurisdiction to penalize the offending passenger: the airline’s country of operation, the country of departure or destination, or the passenger’s country of citizenship?”

After venting her frustration online she was met with mixed responses.

One fan said: “I wish they’d get rid of reclining seats. The amount of space left for the person behind is desperately uncomfortable. It sets off a domino effect (except for the first recliner – they get to keep the space in front of them) until someone, somewhere decides not to be selfish.”

Another sided with the other woman, saying it was considerate to ask the person behind you if they mind you reclining your seat. “If you had engaged with her, you would have had a different outcome. Also, unexpected turbulence happens a lot. You should keep your belt fastened at all times.”

A former member of cabin crew said: “I’m former cabin crew and agree: air rage is real. This is not air rage. This is a common altercation when a pax inconsiderately reclines their seat during the meal service.”

After Narinda replied saying she’d hate to be a passenger on her flight, the woman continued by saying: “Unless she physically punched you as opposed to pushing your seat, then no, this does not necessitate a police escort off the flight & arrest when landing. “

“A skilled crew member ought to be able to de-escalate the situation.”

Clearly riled up even further with the comments on her tweet, Narinda vented her frustration further, saying: “I didn’t pay £1k to sit upright the entire flight..the man infront of me was fully reclined and I had PLENTY space..”

“I was sleeping..I didn’t know food was being served at 4am..and she could have ASKED politely – kicking and punching my seat and verbally abusing me is not acceptable.”

The former housemate was one of the earliest Big Brother participants, coming on in season two to cause a ruckus.

The feisty housemate was at the centre of many rows in the house, and was the third person to be kicked off the show on day 29 when she lost the public vote.

Since then she went on to write Big Brother: The Inside story, an uncensored account of what it’s like to be on the British reality TV show.

She also appeared on the Big Brother Panto in 2004 which included ex housemates from various series.

The Sun has contacted Air India for comment.
