The ink expert, who is covered in tattoos herself, with two sleeves and even neck, hand and finger inkings, explained that she would never give someone a tattoo of their partner’s name.

Not only this, but Ivy, who has been doing tattoos for nine years, after starting out in the industry at the age of just 18, shared the popular mythical creature request that she hates.

In addition, she also disclosed the symbols she would never say yes to.

Posting on social media, the brunette beauty listed the inkings she declines, leaving many open-mouthed.

Ivy posted her clip with the caption ‘sorry not sorry’ and said: “Three tattoos I refuse to use are hate symbols, anything like that.

“Dragons – not a fan of repetitive scales.

“And partner’s names.”

Ivy later explained that she will always warn clients about such tattoos, as she claimed: “I go over all of the potential outcomes and usually try to get my client to do it in a way it can be covered up, just in case.”

She then added: “I love tattooing names! I also love covering up ex’s names.”

The TikTok clip, which was posted under the username @ivyjeantattoo, has clearly left many open-mouthed, as it has quickly gone viral and racked up a jaw-dropping 4.9 million views.

One person said: “Not me covering up my ex’s name with the dragon tattoo.”

Another added: “My boyfriend has his ex’s name covered with a dragon.”

Most common tattoo designs

A tattoo artist has shared the designs and drawings most asked for by customers.

  • Flowers, butterflies
  • Matching tattoos
  • Pets or animal-related
  • Infinity symbols
  • Hearts, stars, moons
  • Skulls
  • Inspirational words or quotes
  • Tribal

Whilst a third commented: “I have my husband’s name on me. No regrets.”

To this, Ivy replied and wrote: “I’m glad it worked out, most people aren’t as lucky.”

Which tattoos hurt the most?

Depending on what part of your body you choose to ink, tattoos can range significantly in terms of pain levels.

Some of the most painful areas are those where the skin tends to be thinner or closer to the bone.

Each area has specific factors which contribute to the level of pain.

Ribcage: Thin skin, little muscle, and many nerve endings.

Feet and ankles: Many bones, tendons, and nerve endings close to the surface.

Hands and fingers: Many bones, tendons, and nerve endings, resulting in increased pain during tattooing. Knuckles can be especially painful.

Spine: Proximity of the spinal cord and nerve endings makes it sensitive. Tattooing directly over the vertebrae can be especially painful.

Knees and elbows: Thin skin and little padding between the skin and the underlying bones.

Armpits and groin: High concentration of nerve endings and lymph nodes.

Neck and throat:  Thin and sensitive skin, with many nerve endings and blood vessels close to the surface.

One tattoo artist chimed in: “I always thought dragons showed utmost skill because scales are repetitive.”

Ivy agreed and shared: “I agree! They are very hard to do.”

At the same time, one tattoo fan shared: “I know some say it’s up to the client, but I’d rather an artist tell me they aren’t into/don’t enjoy it so I can find one who IS. I want work they’re happy and proud to make, on my skin.”

Not only this, but one shocked user penned: “Money is money.”

In response, Ivy replied and wrote: “Horrible take.”
