A MAJOR UK airport has been evacuated with all flights grounded following a reported bomb threat.
Passengers have been advised to avoid Birmingham Airport as police investigate “a suspicious vehicle”.

A statement from the airport says: “West Midlands Police
is currently on-site dealing with an incident. Airport operations are currently suspended.
“Passengers are advised to NOT come to the airport at this time.
“The Airport’s social media channels will be updated as and when the situation changes.”
A spokesman for West Midlands Police added: “Birmingham Airport is currently being evacuated following a report of a suspicious vehicle.
“This is a precautionary measure to ensure the safety of passengers and staff.”
It comes as passengers have described “chaos” outside the airport.
Other travellers have told of how they are “stuck” on an airplane as police deal with the incident.
One passenger said: “Very thankful to have managed to get off our flight from Dubai that arrived at 12.30.
“Chaos outside and had to walk to car park 5 to be picked up by our taxi.”
Another added: “My mum and dad are stuck on a plane at Birmingham airport. They have no idea what’s going on they just got back from Spain.”
