‘Can’t recommend this product enough’ praise fans of menopause treatment that combats bladder weakness

ONE in three menopausal women suffer from this common symptom, yet most choose to suffer in silence.

Bladder weakness affects many females as they age, but Jude, a female wellness company first launched on the BBC’s Dragon Den show, offers women an effective and affordable solution.

While hot flushes and insomnia are normalised symptoms of menopause, poor bladder health remains a taboo subject not often discussed.

Bladder weakness often begins during menopause, the female body’s decreasing oestrogen levels result in muscle mass loss which can impact the pelvic floor muscles.

This leads to reduced bladder elasticity and decreased capacity, resulting in more frequent and urgent trips to the bathroom.

Jude’s Bladder Strength Supplement helps reduce leaks and inconvenient urgent night-time trips to the bathroom.

The Jude Bladder Strength Supplements cost £36 for a four-week supply, but Sun readers can save 20% off their purchase by using the code: MEDIA20 at the checkout before 31 December.

Fans of Jude’s supplements can also opt for a four-week subscription plan for £28.50 or a 12-week plan for £75.

How Jude works

Jude Bladder Strength Supplements use two core ingredients to help combat weak bladder issues that many menopausal women experience.

Each Jude supplement contains 540mg of Pumpkin Seed Extract and 30.8mg of Soy Phytoestrogen, which help to naturally improve bladder strength.

Pumpkin seeds contain protein, zinc and magnesium which aid muscle growth and repair and plenty of antioxidants, which can help reduce inflammation in the body.

The Soy phytoestrogens in Jude supplements mimic naturally occurring oestrogen to help keep hormone levels balanced, which tend to drop as women age.

The Soy phytoestrogens also help keep the tissue lining of your bladder healthy and strong and support your muscles.

It’s always advisable to consult your GP before choosing to take any remedies to help ease symptoms of menopause.

Dr Philippa Kaye, a GP and author with expertise in the area explains, “We tell women to see their GP when their symptoms bother them and are affecting their lives.

“GPs will offer medication to ease symptoms as appropriate, but may also discuss lifestyle changes.

Dr Kaye adds, “When it comes to menopause products, there is a huge amount on offer.

“While these products may help some people, there is no evidence of the effectiveness of many of them.”

Since October marks Menopause Awareness Month, Jude is highlighting how women can use its products to combat often debilitating symptoms.

The brand has already helped over 61,000 women transform their lives, with many sharing their positive experiences online.

In a five-star review online, one user shared: “For about three years into my menopause, I was wearing big bulky pads because every time I laughed or I sneezed there was leakage.

“Since taking Jude, I don’t have to worry about that anymore. I can now laugh, wherever I want, worry-free!”

A second reviewer wrote: “I was really sceptical as menopause coupled with a persistent cough had left me soggy even after LOTS of pelvic floor exercises.

“Anyway the pills are FABULOUS. Two weeks in and I’m noticing that I’ve been much much dryer and today I’m experimenting pad-free.”

Another happy customer also noted: “I can’t recommend this product enough, after just a couple of months I don’t wake 3-4 times a night to go to the toilet!”

What is the menopause and what age does it usually start?

Menopause is a natural part of ageing, which usually happens when a woman is between the age of 45 and 55.

In the UK, the average age for a woman to go through menopause is 51.

It occurs when oestrogen levels in the body start to decline.

During this time periods become less frequent or they can suddenly stop, and after menopause occurs women will be unable to become pregnant naturally.

Around one in 100 women experience menopause before the age of 40, and this is known as premature ovarian insufficiency or premature menopause.

Many celebrities have spoken out about their own experiences, including Lisa Snowdon, Davina McCall, Michelle Heaton and Zoe Hardman.

What are the symptoms?

Menopausal symptoms can start months or years before your periods stop, and can last until four years or longer after your last period.

Symptoms include:

  • Hot flushes
  • Changing or irregular periods
  • Difficulty in sleeping
  • Anxiety and loss of confidence
  • Low mood, irritability and depression
  • Night sweats
  • Vaginal dryness or discomfort during sex
  • Reduced libido (sex drive)
  • Problems with concentration or memory
  • Weight gain
  • Bladder control
