27-year-old Tequila Cheyenne Queen of Granite Falls was arrested by McDowell County Sheriff’s Officers. She’s charged with felony possession of methamphetamine and misdemeanor possession of marijuana up to one-half ounce.
According to a news release issued late last week, a McDowell County Detective was leaving the Sheriff’s Office when an SUV pulled into a public parking spot. As it passed, Jones detected a strong odor of burnt marijuana and recognized the passenger to be Queen.
Upon questioning, Queen reportedly surrendered a clear plastic bag with a suspected amount of methamphetamine and was taken into custody. Queen was placed in jail under no bond due to the fact she was already out on bond for unrelated charges. She was charged with drug offenses following an arrest on September 4, as previously reported on WHKY.
