STRICTLY Come Dancing fans have revealed what went wrong during Sam Quek’s and Nikita Guzmin’s performance this week.
According to several eagle-eyed fans on the internet forum Reddit they have pinpointed the exact moment the dance went off-track- but did you spot it?

Olympic hockey star, Sam and her pro partner Nikita dazzled the audience with their Quickstep to Natasha Bedingfield’s pop classic Unwritten but sharp Reddit users were quick to notice a critical misstep.
49 seconds into the dance is where the pair appear to become misaligned, Sam seemingly goes to do one move while Nikita does another leading to a confusing stumble.
One user commented: “Something seemed a bit hesitant around 40s after the music started, as if someone had missed a step or gone early or something. It looked like they had recovered and got back into sync, but then Sam was a bit late into the running sequence in promenade position a few seconds later and ended up on the wrong foot for several steps.”
“You can see it around 0.49. There’s a stumble in timing between the two of them and Sam looks like she’s trying to do one move and Nikita another. Not one that spells disaster for the entire dance but I can see how it might have thrown them off,” added another.
“I think it was where Nikita did a kick, it looked improvised and at the wrong part of the dance,” suggested a third.
A fourth user commented: “She had no idea what she was doing and the dance almost stopped.”
Later on during the deliberations Sam appeared notably upset with the performance, with Strictly judges noting she was a “little off” in the routine.
Alluding to an error in the dance routine, Motsi Mabuse said that it looked like her nerves had got the better of her.
Sam later told Claudia Winkleman that she was upset with her own performance, she said: “I’m just so disappointed, because that could have been our moment, and we felt it coming into it, I was confident.
“Something happened which people don’t need to know about, because I don’t want to make excuses, that’s not what it’s about, and it’s just delivering in the moment, and unfortunately, I kind of let the side down.”
Crediting Nikita for always having her back, Sam added: “I’m just so guilty of being a bit of a perfectionist sometimes, and that can be a detriment to me. But you know what? I still enjoyed it.”
The Olympic star also took to X (formerly Twitter) after the dance, she penned: “I’m a little gutted with my performance, because based on our hard work this week and our rehearsal feedback, it felt like this could have been a #Strictly moment for @kuzmin__nikita & me. My bad. But I will dust myself down & (hopefully) go again.”
Sam and Nikita eventually earned 26 out of 40 for thier routine from the Judges and evaded elimination securing themselves in the public vote.
Sunday’s results show saw Paul Merson become the latest celeb to leave the competition.
