Arsenal struggled in their bid to return to the vigor of the Invincible era and were stuck in a rut of European qualification, but there were no titles to match. And they suffered a shock defeat to Hull City at the start of the 2008-09 season.
There were few expectations for the newly promoted side at the Emirates, and that didn’t change when an own goal put the home side ahead. But a dramatic turnaround meant Hull left with all three points and an iconic win.
