Kudus was given his marching orders after pushing Micky van de Ven in the face, with West Ham trailing 4-1.
The 24-year-old caught Richarlison during a wild melee, sending the Spurs striker flying to the floor.
Kudus had earlier opened the scoring at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, before a stunning comeback from the hosts.
