A woman has died and her two children are still missing after the trio were spotted struggling to stay afloat in a lake on Saturday.
Emergency services were called to a boat ramp at Floyd Bay in Lansvale, south-west Sydney, near Chipping Norton Lakes at 10.15am on Saturday.
Witnesses reported seeing a woman and two children in distress in the water.
Paramedics were able to pull the woman from the water a short time after arrival, but were unable to revive her and she was pronounced dead at the scene.
There is now a massive search for the two children.
Multiple agencies, including the police, Marine Area Command, PolAir and SES, have teams canvassing the area in search of the children believed to be still in the water.
A report will be prepared for the information of the coroner in relation to the woman’s death.
