Christina Hall claims ex Josh is requesting ‘outrageous’ $65K-a-month in spousal support

Christina Hall, 41, has claimed her ex, Josh Hall, is asking for an 'outrageous' amount of $65,000 a month in spousal support amid their messy divorce

Christina Hall has claimed her ex, Josh Hall, is asking for an “outrageous” amount of $65,000 a month in spousal support amid their messy divorce.

The TV personality, 41 – who recently made her last change following the split – filed for divorce from Josh earlier this year in July after almost three years of marriage.

Last week on Thursday, October 10, Christina filed legal documents in the Superior Court of California in Orange County as she continues to make plans to sell the $4.5 million Tennessee mansion she used to share with Josh.

In the documents, obtained by We weekly on Tuesday, her estranged husband had presented a “good faith settlement offer” asking for “$65,000 per month in spousal support from [Christina] on a marriage of two years and nine months.’

However, Christina’s attorney, Matthew S. DeArmey, characterized the request as “hardly bona fide.”

In a statement, her lawyer said: ‘The court is aware of offers that are described as “good faith” settlement offers that are not in fact made in good faith.’

DeArmey also added, “Josh Hall is seeking $65,000 a month in spousal support from [Christina] on a marriage of two years and nine months, which is scandalous if he can support himself.’

In the documents, Christina’s legal team also noted her ex’s recent purchase of a luxury car.

‘[Josh just paid over $70,000 to pay off the lease on [Christina’s separate property Bentley and so he has no need for spousal support from [her].’

Her legal team further claims that his settlement offer came at the same time as his lawsuit to prevent Christina from selling the $4.5 million Tennessee home.

Josh also filed papers last Thursday asking the court to prevent Christina from selling the mansion.

Earlier this month, the TV personality listed the property, saying on Instagram that she was “excited” to sell the house – which she had previously lived in during their marriage to Josh.

Christina specifically claimed that Josh had “stolen” from her, writing, “Remember when you said you would never steal from me or my kids and that you would just be happy in a van with your dog?”

‘I think plans have changed. All about trying to take everything you can… With your mind on my money and my money on your mind… Byeeeee.”

Josh claimed on September 25, according to Us Weekly, that he had “made Christina a global settlement offer, which included terms regarding the [Tennessee] place of residence’ – which she ‘rejected’.

On Tuesday, a spokesperson for Josh told the newspaper that Christina’s claims are “riddled with demonstrably false statements,” adding, “Josh never asked for $65,000 in support.” That’s not true.’

In Christina’s own documents, she claimed that the Nashville mansion was merely an investment property that Josh could “access and use…if not otherwise rented out.”

However, Josh’s rep further denounced her claims, stating, “The Nashville estate was never an investment house.”

“Christina was in Nashville so often that she had to make a public statement about it, calling it their ‘second home.’ No one spends so much time in an ‘investment house’ that he has to explain why he is there often. That doesn’t make sense.’

“It’s sad that Christina’s team is so desperate to smear Josh that they can’t even come up with logical lies. Josh continues to pray for Christina and hopes to resolve this matter privately.”

In Christina’s filing, she rejected Josh’s request not to sell the Nashville home, but claimed that if the home were sold, it would be a “similar commercial property” — and she would receive no money from it.

It comes as the HGTV star finally changed her last name amid her contentious divorce from Josh.

On Tuesday, it was revealed in a press release for her show Christina In The Country that she is now using her maiden name Haack again – after filing for divorce three months earlier.

The reality TV siren best known for Flip Or Flop did the same when she divorced British TV star Ant Anstead.

It’s hard to keep track of Christina, as this is her fifth name change in the past decade. Her last name has gone from Haack to El Moussa to Anstead to Haack to Hall to Haack.

She has been married three times: first to Tarek El Moussa, then to Ant Anstead and then to Josh Hall.

She has yet to change her last name to Haack on her Instagram profile.

Christina is also a mother of three children. They are Taylor, 13, and son Braydon, eight, with her first husband El Moussa. She also has four-year-old Hudson with Ant Anstead.

Last week, Josh fired back after she claimed he stole from her during their divorce.

The reality TV star’s spokesperson contacted DailyMail.com with a statement.

“Josh has repeatedly said he wants to handle the divorce like an adult – in court, not in social media and the tabloids,” the note began.

‘Time and time again, Christina insisted that this was not the case, creating a public spectacle, but Josh remained silent. But now Christina is slandering him.”

“These are false, defamatory statements. Josh didn’t steal a dime from her or her family. This is a red line, and Christina has crossed it.”

The note further read, “Rather than repeating Christina’s false statement, the media should question why Christina continues to insist on this case being heard publicly rather than through the law.”

When they split, Hall moved from their $12 million mansion in Newport Beach, California to the home in Tennessee.

Their breakup was very controversial and public, with Christina often calling him out on social media.

The reality star split from her third husband at the start of the summer and she recently opened up about how the divorce left her unable to eat for weeks until she found solace in the love of her children.

She wrote on her Instagram Stories: ‘One month later… I finally got my appetite back. I’m working out again. My children are happy and our house feels like home. “Those poor kids love me…anyone who really knows us knows this and that’s what matters.”

Josh “voluntarily” left their home in Southern California and it is said that he “never wanted to be famous” in the first place.

A source said Our weekly: ‘Josh is sad that the marriage ended this way, but he wants to move on.’

“He voluntarily removed his assets from his and Christina’s joint property. He never wanted to be famous.’

The insider added, “This was always for Christina, and he’s happy to get back to living the way he wanted to.”

Josh insisted he preferred “privacy,” especially during such a “life-changing” time.

The HGTV star had also accused Josh of taking $35,000 of her own money, and hinted on Instagram that there had been problems in their relationship for a while.
