The Simpsons icon Hank Azaria shares hilarious video about the ups and downs of his Jets and Mets fandom

Hank Azaria shows how Jets fans feel

Legendary voice actor Hank Azaria hilariously portrayed the contrast between the emotions of fans of the New York Mets in the MLB and the New York Jets in the NFL.

The Jets have only just started their season, while their baseball counterparts in Queens are at the end of their campaign. However, the state of their seasons and the results the teams are achieving couldn’t be further away.

In a video on his X account (Twitter), Azaria showed the bipolar rollercoaster of feelings he gets from supporting both teams today.

The 30-second video opens on a close-up clip of him in a Jets jersey, looking defeated, with Sarah McLachlan’s “Angel” playing in the background. It then cuts back and forth to a video of him ecstatically celebrating a Mets victory at Citi Field.

“The current state of affairs as a (m)(j)ets fan,” Azaria wrote.

The Mets clip shows The Simpsons star shouting, punching the air and cheering in his blue and orange jersey. Meanwhile, his face looks sadder with every cut in the Jets clip.

Despite having a healthy Aaron Rodgers at quarterback, the Jets are off to a 2-4 start this season and sit third in the AFC East.

After a 23–17 loss to Minnesota, the Jets fired head coach Robert Saleh and placed Jeff Ulbrich on interim assignment.

In their most recent and third straight loss, kicker Greg Zuerlein summed up the Jets’ luck when he hit the post on two key field goals. They would surrender a 20-23 loss to Buffalo.

The Jets recently acquired receiver Davante Adams in a trade from Las Vegas in hopes of turning their fortunes around on Sunday against Pittsburgh.

On the other hand, the Mets have had a lot of success this year, finishing second in the NL East with a record of 89-73.

After knocking off the Brewers and Phillies in the playoffs, they are games away from a World Series appearance. The Mets are 1-1 against the Dodgers in the NLCS.
