Nicole from Burnside Park called That of the Fox Fifi Fev & Nick to describe her son Jake’s struggle with relentless bullying at school Wednesday.

Nicole revealed that her 12-year-old son cannot leave the house because of the emotional toll the bullying has taken on him.

“My son Jake has had a terrible year, honestly,” she began.

“I’m taking my other kids to school this morning and he’s home. I couldn’t get him out of bed.’

Mum-of-one Fifi sympathized with Nicole’s situation.

The much-loved Australian radio presenter has two daughters: Trixie, 11, who she shares with former partner Grant Kenny, and Daisy, four, who was conceived using IVF and donor sperm.

“He opened up to me last night and told me how he’s doing,” Nicole continued.

“But I don’t know, the amount of bullying at his year level is out of this world.

‘Now I have a child who wants to give up everything he loves because no matter what he does, it’s just another thing to be bullied.

“He’s a great kid, he loves basketball, but he has no one to play with.”

Fifi was so deeply moved that she burst into tears as she listened to Nicole’s story.

“Nicole, that’s so disturbing. That really upset me,” she said.

“There’s nothing worse than not being able to get your child out the door in the morning and you have to keep functioning, you have to go to work, you can’t sit with them and make life better. ‘

‘He’s 12! Twelve with the weight of the world on his shoulders,” Fifi continued.

“He should run to school. He should be excited about it. To get your son out of bed, Nicole, we would love for Jake to be one of our Underdogs! Do you think he would like to do that?’

In a heartwarming gesture, Fifi offered Jake a place on The Underdogs, a team designed to give children who have been excluded from sports due to bullying or health problems a chance to shine.

“Nicole, tell him he’s on our team. We want him. Tomorrow he can get out of bed. We want him, please tell Jake,” she said.

Bullying has become a hot-button topic in recent months, with Australian parents looking to each other for support and guidance in the face of what feels like an insurmountable problem.

In September, Sydney schoolgirl Charlotte took her own life when she faced brutal school bullying at Santa Sabina College.

This month, 14-year-old Isla Marschke, from Queensland, tragically committed suicide.

Isla’s school principal said she was “undoubtedly” bullied.

TV host Barry Du Bois recently shared a heartbreaking story about the turmoil in his own family.

“What do you say to a child when you’ve already said, ‘Don’t let them upset you. Just stay nice. You are not the terrible things they say.”

“She said, ‘I don’t want to be special; I just want to be liked,’” Barry added.

The Living Room star, 64, made the vulnerable confession on Instagram about the helplessness parents feel when their child falls victim to bullying at school.

He admitted he struggled to find a way to help his 12-year-old daughter Arabella, who is being bullied at school.
