DWTS’ Brooks Nader and Gleb Savchenko feel ‘blindsided’ by elimination and think show producers ‘set them up to fail’

BROOKS Nader and Gleb Savchenko felt ‘blindsided’ by their sudden Dancing With the Stars exit and feel the show ‘set them up for failure,’ a source exclusively told The U.S. Sun.

The couple felt they were “going to win” season 33 but were voted out on just the third elimination night after weeks of producers “focusing on their relationship” over their talent.

On Tuesday night’s episode, Brooks, 27, and Gleb, 41, performed a Salsa dedicated to her three sisters – who made a brief appearance in the opening of the dance.

Despite getting positive comments and an “8” from each judge, for a total of 32, the pair found themselves at the bottom of the combined results of viewer votes and scores.

Brooks couldn’t hide the shock on her face as hosts Julianne Hough, 36, and Alfonso Ribeiro, 53, read that she would be the one going home – looking around panicked with her mouth wide open.

Meanwhile, Gleb couldn’t hide his frustration as he clenched his jaw and looked away in apparent anger.

“Oh they’re f**king pissed. Both completely blindsided, neither of them thought they were going home,” an insider told The U.S. Sun.

“Brooks was nervous about it before but Gleb even told her that there was a 0% chance it would be them eliminated so they really couldn’t believe it.”

The source added that Gleb and Brooks “feel set up” by the show after weeks of producers “always focusing on their relationship and sex appeal and not their talents.”

“That hurt their chances. The viewers didn’t like that I don’t think so they felt set up for failure. They’re taking it like champs though.

After the episode, Brooks and Gleb shared a steamy TikTok where they kissed and boasted ‘we won’[/caption]

“It sounds cheesy but they really are so happy they found each other in this process so that’s helped with the blow.

“They had a lot of alone time together last night to celebrate what they accomplished and work through their emotions. Their family and friends were with them a lot but also let them be so they could just be together.”

In addition to Brooks’ three sisters being in town, the Sports Illustrated model’s grandmother was also in the DWTS audience after leaving Louisiana for the first time in her life.

“Brooks is disappointed overall with the experience but she’s okay, she’s a strong girl.

“She was the most upset and embarrassed because the elimination happened in front of her sisters and her grandma, who had never even been on an airplane before but flew across the country to support her granddaughter.

“So for that to be the night she got sent home, it’s a knife to the heart but she’ll be okay.”

Moments after the results last night were read, the visibly disappointed Gleb and Brooks shared their candid thoughts on going home earlier in the competition.

SAVE THE LAST DANCE

“It’s been amazing, we’ve had so much fun. I just said to him ‘imagine if it was us’ so I may have manifested it mistakenly,” Brooks confessed when reflecting on her time on the show.

Speaking about his experience with Brooks, Gleb showed his love for his partner while upset with how this season turned out, saying: “I want to thank you for an amazing season.

“This was so unexpected, I thought we were going to win. I had such a blast working with you. You are super talented and I love you. You’re amazing.”
