A bus collided with a train this morning and crashed into several cars in an accident along Lytton Road in Harare.
The accident happened at the railway crossing along Lytton Road in Harare. The scene is a dark spot that has claimed many lives over the years.
Bus Collides With A Train And Crashes Into Several Cars In Harare
The Zimbabwe Republic Police is yet to release more information on the train and bus crash. Pictures circulating on social media show that the bus collided with the train at the Paisley Road level crossing.
The force of the impact shoved the bus out of its lane, and it rammed into four other vehicles travelling along Paisley Road.
A smaller Toyota Runx got trapped under the heavy bus following the collision. According to reports circulating online, there were no casualties from the crash.
Just last June, one person died after a goods train collided with a bus at the same Lytton Road railway crossing. The accident occurred after the bus driver failed to stop at the level crossing. Several people suffered various degrees of injuries from the crash.

Barely a week later, 12 students from Versatile College sustained injuries after a school bus they were travelling in collided with a goods train at the Wilton Level Crossing in Mutare. The bus driver also failed to follow level crossing rules and tried to beat the train to the level crossing, resulting in the accident.
