I’m a mum & a secret dogger – I play with up to 8 men a night in the back of cars – what lights flashing really means 

ONCE famed for being a site used by ‘doggers’ Jeremy Clarkson joked that he almost called his new pub the Dog Inn. 

He decided it was perhaps ‘a little close to the bone’ and opted for The Farmers Inn instead.

But dogging, a place where lusty men and women go for no-strings attached sex with strangers, is how how Linda*, 55, a cabbie from Essex gets her kicks.

Here, she reveals exactly what goes on afterdark at a layby near you… 

Feeling frisky and in the mood for uncomplicated and emotionless sex, I pull into a layby at the side of the road.

It’s shielded by thick shrubbery so I turn off the ignition, dim my headlights and wait for a tap on the window.

I’m a ‘dogger’ 20 miles from home and about to ‘play’ with a complete stranger who lusts after unlikely women like me – a lone woman in her 50s, a partner elsewhere, with two daughters and a six-year-old grandson.

I switch on my interior light and within minutes a man in his 50s is at the driver’s side door. We exchange a few meaningless words as I get out of the car and join him on the bonnet.

While we stop short of having full-blown sex, the rush of excitement is exhilarating  as we explore each other’s bodies in the dark.

Dogging, alone especially, sounds dangerous and I know some will say I’m crazy, but the minute I sense a hint of danger I get back in my car and drive away. And I always keep my door locked until I’m sure I’ll be safe.

By day I live a normal life where I drive a mini cab and love shopping for vintage clothes. I’m 5ft 5ins, a curvy size 12 and I do my weekly shop at Asda.  

I’ve been dogging for almost 20 years and it started when a male lorry driving friend told me about it after I complained that my sex life wasn’t exciting enough.

I was single at the time and had grown tired of monogamy and vanilla sex so I went along with him to see what it was like – and I loved it. 

At first, I was nervous and decided to watch but after a few visits I felt drawn to join in.

I’ve been roughly four times a month ever since and while my current partner of two years knows what I do he accepts it – we’re in a long-distance relationship which I think makes it an easier pill to swallow. 

Dogging is very basic and easy – if there’s a layby with cars or lorries parked up, shielded from the road by shrubbery with undergrowth on the other side, there’s likely to be dogging going on.

Back when I started you either stumbled across sites or heard about them through word of mouth. 

It’s hard to explain but with dogging there’s zero emotional connection and because it’s all about raw sex it doesn’t matter what people look like

These days word is spread through Facebook and I’m part of a group where I share part of my car registration and post the address of where I’m heading so strangers can join me. 

It’s always at a known dogging site – there’s three close to my home and I’m prepared to travel up to 60 miles to others – so there’s always usually someone around to play.

Ages vary – from 18 to 70 – and there’s men and women of all different sizes. I’ve played with up to eight in one night, it makes me feel confident and sexy which is a turn on in itself.

It’s hard to explain but with dogging there’s zero emotional connection and because it’s all about raw sex it doesn’t matter what people look like. 

A size 20 woman gets just as much attention as someone who is size 6. 

Most women go there with a man but there are others like me who are happy on their own. 

I always turn down a man that smells – it makes me feel sick and ruins the whole night, any desire disappears and I go home. 

In Essex where I live there’s one site that’s so busy on a Saturday night there’s a queue of cars waiting to get into the layby.

I’d say 75% of men are married, some come with their wives, others alone.As for the police, they tend to turn a blind eye – most dogging spots are in secluded places and they’d rather you stayed there than move closer to a school. 

Besides, unless you’re caught in the ‘act’ there’s not much they can do and fortunately that has never happened to me.

I have no plans to stop and until you’ve tried it, please don’t judge.
