Zimdancehall musician Hwindi President was involved in an accident while coming from Lake October in Masvingo.
The crash happened early Sunday morning on 13 October 2024 as the musician and his team drove to Harare from Masvingo.

Hwindi President was part of a stellar lineup that included Winky D, Gemma Griffiths, Mbeu, and Mr Candy. He kept the crowd on its feet as he belted some of his most popular songs for Masvingo revellers attending Lake October.
He only left the town early in the morning to head to his Harare base. Along the way, he was involved in a road traffic accident. It is still unclear what caused the crash or how it happened.
In pictures making rounds on social media, Hwindi President and the people in his car were sitting beside the road on the grass a few metres from the dented car. The black vehicle seemingly crumpled from impact on its right driver’s side. The right side of the windscreen was also broken from the crash.
The Zimbabwe Republic Police (ZRP) are yet to confirm and release the details of the accident.
