Nicole Kidman and Salma Hayek appeared to share a tense moment at the Balenciaga show during Paris Fashion Week last month.

The Australian actress, 57, and the Mexican star, 58, were posing for photos with Katy Perry when the Big Little Lies star seemed to get tired of the shoot and pushed Salma’s hand away from her as she tried to put her arm around her hit.

Nicole and Salma stood together with their arms around each other as they posed for photographers next to Katy.

Salma then tried to turn around to take more photos with the pair before Nicole refused and moved her hand away from her.

Nicole kissed Katy goodbye and walked away, appearing to share some tense words with Salma.

Nicole wore sunglasses to the runway show with a black high-neck bodycon dress, sheer tights and stilettos.

It was the first time she had been seen since the death of her mother Janelle.

Nicole announced her mother’s death just hours before she was named Best Actress for her role in Babygirl at the Venice Film Festival.

The actress and her sister Antonia shared a heartbreaking tribute to their late mother on Instagram, posting several never-before-seen photos of the matriarch.

In her post, Nicole thanked her millions of fans and supporters for expressing their condolences during their time of mourning.

“My sister and I, along with our family, would like to thank you for the outpouring of love and kindness we have felt this week,” Nicole wrote in the joint statement.

“Every message we have received from those who loved and admired our Mother has meant more to us than we can ever express.

“Thank you from our entire family for respecting our privacy while we care for each other.”

The Australian actress was forced to leave the Venice Film Festival to return to her native Sydney to be with her family following the devastating news.
