He shouted, “F*** you, I’m Millwall” as he tried to prevent the three murderers from attacking customers in a steakhouse.

Film rights to the book “Lion of London Bridge” have been optioned by Dougie Brimson, who produced cult hits Green Street and Top Dog.

Actor Leo Gregory, 45, who starred in both those films and others including Hooligan Factory, will play Lions’ fan Roy.

Filming is due to start next year.

Former Sergeant engineer Dougie, who served in the Falklands and first Gulf War, told The Sun: “As a veteran I know a hero when I see one, and Roy is a hero.”

“This is not just a story that needs to be told; it must be told.

“Roy saved an estimated 30 lives on the night by tackling the knife-wielding terrorists, yet his life since has not been plain sailing.

“The incredible story is made for cinema and will do Roy the justice he deserves.”

Eight people died and 48 were injured in the atrocity.
