XL Bully killed after being ‘deliberately attacked’ with two men arrested over dog’s death

AN XL Bully dog has been killed after it was “deliberately attacked” – as cops arrest two men.

The suspects were cuffed in connection with the fatal attack at an address in Slough, Berkshire, where a large amount of cannabis was also found.

Thames Valley Police said the dog was “deliberately attacked and seriously injured” in the town on September 29.

It was taken for emergency treatment but died from its injuries.

The two men, aged 20 and 22, were arrested on Friday.

The 20-year-old was arrested on suspicion of criminal damage, causing unnecessary suffering to a protected animal, possession with intent to supply a controlled drug of class B and possession of offensive weapon.

The 22-year-old was arrested on suspicion of criminal damage, causing unnecessary suffering to a protected animal and possession with intent to supply a controlled drug of class B.

Thames Valley Police said: “Officers have arrested two men in connection with a fatal attack on a dog in Slough.

“The officers arrested the pair, aged 20 and 22, and both from Slough, at an address in the town on Friday.

“The officers also searched the address and found a quantity of cannabis.

“The arrests were in relation to a dog being deliberately attacked and seriously injured in Burnham Lane at around 6.05pm on 29 September.

“The dog, whose breed remains unconfirmed but is thought to be an XL bully, was taken for emergency treatment but died from its injuries.”

Both men have been released on bail until January.

A 31-year-old man from Slough was also arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply a controlled drug of class B and was also released on police bail until January.
