A WOMAN has revealed that she has found the best place to buy wooden toys.

The Aldi event, which started on Thursday 10th October and sold out within minutes, saw shoppers race to nab limited edition toys, mostly made from wood.
And with Christmas just months away, if you’re on a budget and are looking to save cash on presents where possible, you’ll be thrilled to know that you can nab brilliant gifts, with prices from just £3.99.
A mother named Jaye took to social media to show off the wooden toys she found in Smyths Toys, which she claimed will make great Christmas gifts, leaving many very impressed.
Thrilled with her finds, she said: “If you can’t get your hands on Aldi’s wooden toys, Smyths also do some.”
The content creator spotted a wooden grocery set for £7.99, a pack of wooden eggs for £3.99 and a wooden tea set for just £12.99.
She then found a wooden cookware playset at £12.99, a wooden pizza for £9.99 and a wooden burger for just £7.99, as she beamed: “This is stackable, which is really good.”
Jaye was very impressed with the wooden hot chocolate set, which is priced at just £7.99, and was also keen on the wooden birthday cake, which will cost you only £9.99.
If that wasn’t enough, the savvy mum also found a wooden bakery shop for £14.99 and an afternoon tea set for £12.99.
Not only this, but the high-street shopper was then open-mouthed when she got her hands on a wooden play kitchen, priced at £39.99, as she shared: “it’s so cute!”
The TikTok clip, which was posted under the username @jayejayex, has clearly left many gobsmacked, as it has quickly racked up 75,800 views in just one day.
Parents were thankful for Jaye’s advice and flocked to the comments to share their thoughts, with many keen to stock up.
Not only did mothers share that they weren’t fast enough to nab the wooden toys from Aldi, but others were desperate not to let resellers hear the news that Smyths has similar buys.

- Go for branded toys. Try and choose a branded toy as then you can compare it to the manufacturer’s own website to check it’s legit.
- Be careful of going for the cheapest price. If something looks too good to be true, it probably is.
- Check if there are any age restrictions. Make sure you give suitable toys to children based on their age.
- Check reviews carefully. Some reviews are fake so look carefully at the comments.
- Stay with children at first. When your child opens a toy for the first time, stay with them and check for faults, detachable small parts, access to stuffing and loose or accessible batteries or magnets.
