(COLORADO SPRINGS) — Memorial Park is celebrating its ribbon cutting for a few new additions to the park on Saturday morning, Oct. 12.
The park downtown will unveil newly resurfaced courts with a Colorado Springs-inspired mural, new backboards, upgraded hoops, and new player benches. The renovation was made possible due to the efforts of Hillside Connection and a grant from Every Court Has A Story.
The City said the renovated courts will not only create a better experience to play basketball but also create a welcoming and safe space for all participants.

These improvements will enhance the playing experience and also create a welcoming and safe environment for people of all ages to enjoy.”
The ribbon cutting will take place on Saturday at 10 a.m.
