Kaizer Chiefs are set to announce Nasreddine Nabi‘s assistant in the coming week according to reports.
Burundian coach Cedric Kaze is set to replace Fernando Da Cruz, who left the club last month. It is believed that the deal has been finalized, and Kaze is currently awaiting approval for his VISA to enter South Africa.
South African top football administrator Senzo Mbatha told FARPost that Amakhosi recruited Kaze at Young Africans.
“He’s a hard worker who believes in the science of football. He’s very focused on planning and analysis,” Mbatha told FARPost.

“Kaze is more of a technical coach who likes to drill technique and tactics and works closely with players.”
Kaze is expected to be Nabi’s second assistant behind Khalil Ben Youssef. Since Nabi took over at Chiefs in July, the club’s fortunes have changed, winning their opening two league games for the first time in over five years.
With one assistant gone, the Kaizer Chiefs coach has once again been given the freedom to bring in another helper. He arrived at the club with his own technical team, and his efforts appear to be paying off.
Nabi’s next task is to guide Kaizer Chiefs to their first silverware in nearly a decade. His first test comes against SuperSport in the Carling Knockout Cup.
