Officials with the California Highway Patrol have closed down northbound lanes of the 5 Freeway in the Boyle Heights area after reports of a shooting.
Details are extremely limited at this time, but early reports suggest that there are at least two victims, one of which was rushed to the hospital in unknown condition.
A second car that was possibly hit by shrapnel was also on the inside shoulder of the freeway, facing the wrong direction.
