Aldi shoppers are rushing to get their hands on seriously cheap toys after one mum nabbed a scooter for just 99p

SHOPPERS have been racing to their nearest Aldi to snap up some discounted toys.

This comes after one mum spotted a bargain too good to miss in her local shop, and it’s perfect for storing away until Chritmas.

Taking to the popular money-saving Facebook group Extreme Couponing and Bargains UK, which has over 2.5 million members, one mum picked up a scooter for less than a quid.

“Popped into the Aldi toy event. Came out with a Gabby’s scooter for 99p,” she wrote in the group, alongside a snap of the bargain buy.

In the picture, the mum showed the cute scooter on the shelf with the price tag marking it at just 99p.

Unsurprisingly, other parents were left stunned by the mega cheap scooter and wanted to bag a deal of their own and the post currently has over 370 comments from other Aldi fans.

One commented on the post: “This is such a good find, well done you.”

“Love this, well done,” a second wrote.

And a third chimed in, tagging a friend: “This would be great for Xmas.”

Meanwhile, others pointed out that they hadn’t spotted the same scooter in their nearest Aldi yet.

The scooter isn’t the only toy parents have been loving though, the retailer has also released a range of wooden toys, perfect if you want something a little more classic for your little ones.

The range varies widely and includes items such as Wooden 2D Wheeled Animals and a Wooden Climbing Triangle and Cube.

One mum shared some of the toys in the same Facebook group, but parents were quick to note the toys have been selling out fast.

“Our store sold out of kitchens in five minutes- lots of grabbing and blocking with trolleys,” she said.

“I helped a few people reach the bits they wanted in the madness.”

A second had a similar experience trying to nab the toys: “My Aldi had almost totally sold out by the time I got there.”

Other gift ideas include a brand-new Wooden Horse Box and a Beauty Station to let your child’s imagination run wild, both retailing for £24.99 each.

Shoppers will have to act fast, however, as the range sold out when it was released last year.

The chain also laid out its top 10 wooden toys as gifts to “help mum, dad, and Santa’s little helper with what to choose.”

The list includes, in no particular order:

The discount retailer chain is also bringing back the wooden Cuthbert which previously caused a stir with M&S fans.

How to save money at Aldi

Unlike other major supermarkets, Aldi does not have a rewards or point card system but that does not mean you cannot save on your shop.

Every week the store releases a list of special buys, which are unique bargain products you find online at Aldi and in-store.

The store releases a fresh range of deals every Thursday and Sunday, so be sure to check regularly to see what’s new.

Meanwhile, the store also regularly sells fruit and vegetables at highly discounted prices, as part of its ‘super six’ deal.

It also does weekly saving offers on typically pricey items such as meat and fish.

More Aldi middle aisle buys

IF it’s middle aisle buys that you’re looking here, some of the new items you won’t want to miss.

Shoppers recently went wild for Aldi’s new ‘pregnancy and menopause essential’ – and it’s only £6.99.

Garden enthusiasts raced to nab a £6.99 buy that will add style to any garden in an instant.

A £12.99 garden find left shoppers open-mouthed – but you’ll need to sprint to nab it.

If you’re looking to light up your garden this summer, you won’t want to miss this £8.99 solar light.
