You Go Your Way is set at a pivotal time in Perrie’s relationship with her now fiancé, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain.
At the start of their romance, Perrie was concerned about the pressures of a new relationship as she prepared to tour the US and suggested they go their separate ways.
“I said to Alex, you go your way and I’ll go mine, and if it’s meant to be, we’ll find each other again when I get back,” Perrie explained of the new song.
But Alex wasn’t having it. He made their relationship official on the spot, and the rest is history.
