Big Brother star Krystal Hipwell has shown off her very impressive property portfolio after making millions of homes in a huge career change.

The TV star turned property mogul, 38, and her property developer husband Neil, have launched a successful business building lavish homes and boast a $25 million property empire.

They recently purchased a huge plot of land in Byron Bay and have built two modern, multi-million dollar homes on the site, with both luxury rental properties now open for bookings.

Krystal took to Instagram on Thursday to provide insight into the construction and renovation process and give fans a glimpse into the beautiful coastal escapes.

Banks at Byron is located at the front of the lot and can accommodate up to 18 guests, costing more than $5,550 for a two-night stay, according to the website.

Meanwhile, Bunker Byron is located at the back of the property and can accommodate up to 14 guests, while costing around $7,000 for a minimum three-night stay.

The premium accommodations can be booked together or separately for a large group stay, offering guests a luxurious glimpse of Byron’s coastline.

While Banks features a typical beach house style décor with white and tan details, Bunker has a strikingly different industrial feel, providing two very different accommodation options.

Opened in July, Banks features seven guest rooms and six bathrooms, as well as a fully equipped kitchen with a wine refrigerator for up to 178 bottles.

It features other luxury amenities including a barbecue, fire pit, heated pool, four-person infrared sauna and a two-car garage.

It also features a yoga studio and an electric vehicle charger, making it the perfect wellness and seaside getaway.

Bunker is an equally luxurious option, with five bedrooms and six guest bathrooms, as well as a large circular stone bath in the master bedroom.

There is also a small private guest studio with its own entrance, kitchenette and private bathroom, which can be booked separately for approximately $1,500 for two nights.

The industrial, concrete living room has a large open plan design, with a sunken lounge that can accommodate up to 22 guests, making it the perfect entertainment space.

The expansive property also has a fully equipped kitchen and a covered outdoor dining area with a built-in barbecue.

It also features an outdoor shower, heated pool, barrel sauna, ice bath and a yoga and fitness studio within the very luxurious grounds.

Krystal has been documenting the renovation process on Instagram and shared some details about the lengthy construction in her Stories this week.

She revealed she lived on the site with her husband Neil and their children Sunny, nine, and Nakoda, five, as they built the two sprawling properties.

She explained that they were all living in a caravan while construction was underway and provided details of her hands-on approach to the renovation process.

Krystal, who shot to fame on Big Brother Australia in 2006, shared photos and videos of herself laying concrete and helping construction crews on site.

She confessed that she would start work at 3.30am before her children woke up and said she had never been so ‘exhausted’ in her life.

She also revealed that she handpicked all the interiors for both houses herself, describing herself as too much of a ‘control freak’ to hand the reins to anyone else.

Krystal admitted that it was sometimes “chaos” living on site while construction was underway, and shared a glimpse of their makeshift living situation in the garage.

“It was total chaos at times, but we made a lot of great memories here as a family,” she revealed.

‘I also lived in a caravan for much of my childhood, so maybe that made it feel like home.’

Despite the challenges, Krystal said she found it valuable for her son and daughter to see the work that went into the homes and show off the finished product.

The multi-story mansion, which they originally built as their dream home after purchasing the land for $1.7 million, is now a luxury rental home that can accommodate 16 guests.

Krystal and Neil also have a resort-style property just outside the Perisher Valley ski village in Crackenback in the NSW Alps.

Built by the couple in 2021 and named ‘Jimmy Doo’, it can accommodate 22 adults and eight children.

After leaving her reality TV career behind, Krystal now manages projects through Neil’s successful property design and construction company Futureflip.
