I’M sure we’re not alone when we admit we’ve popped into Primark more often than usual in a desperate bid to bag the viral jumper.
And while we’ve come up empty handed on that front, we’re anything but disappointed.

Instead, we’re pretty certain we’ve bagged a £21 knitwear buy that is even better than the sought-after £17 jumper.
As a 33-year-old big-boobed and petite size 18 I often find it very difficult to dress for my figure – and find things in my size.
Meanwhile, my work bestie Lynn, 44, is a beautiful size 10 who still finds herself trying to hide her mum tum.
So it’s safe to say neither of us like anything too figure-hugging – which means wrapping up for the colder seasons in comfy knitwear is our absolute favourite time of year.
In a bid to offer up some size-inclusive fashion inspo for our fellow AW24 fans, we’re testing out the same outfits in different sizes from a range of high street favourites to see what works – and whether stores really offer something ‘for everybody‘.
And knowing how much our readers love a bargain, a Primark haul was an absolute must.
We picked up some surprising hits including a curve-friendly leopard print maxi skirt that was only £14, and satin wide legged trousers that made us scream “comfort is life”.
But it wouldn’t have been a Primark trip if we didn’t at least try to find the oversized crew neck jumper that is sending fashion fans into a frenzy.
You know the one – super soft, fits everyone and is sold out everywhere. Including in our Scottish stores.
And while it wasn’t meant to be, we think we may just have discovered the next big thing in knitwear instead.
We bagged the Oversized Knitted Bomber Jacket, available in sizes XS to XL, in a vibrant red colour.
Lynn opted for a size small while I chose a size large – and the sizing is generous.
And we were both stunned by the quality, with the super soft material well surpassing its £21 price tag.
It ticked all of the boxes for us with a flattering fit, length and pockets.
If red isn’t your vibe, the knitted bomber is also available in camel and charcoal grey.

Why is Primark the place to go for bargains?
JUST how does Primark do it? Continue delivering on-trend items at such incredible prices? According to bosses, it’s down to four points.
- They “sell a lot of items” – Thanks to that, they are able to make savings by buying in bulk for their 191 UK stores
- They “do very little advertising”
- While their clothes offer the “latest trends”, they “don’t use expensive hangers, tags or labels”.
- And lastly, they try to be “as efficient as possible when transporting products from factories to stores”. This includes things like asking “suppliers to pack our t-shirts so they are ready to go straight on shelf”.
