Michael Strahan leaves Terry Bradshaw lost for words on Fox NFL Sunday with ‘boy band’ analogy in strange tangent

MICHAEL Strahan left Terry Bradshaw speechless with his remark about boy bands on Fox NFL Sunday.

New York Giants icon Strahan went off on a strange tangent while previewing a Week 5 game.

And the 52-year-old then brought in his show sparring partner as part of his joke.

Strahan was asked for his thoughts on the Green Bay Packers’ clash with the Los Angeles Rams by host Curt Menefee.

But before breaking down the clash at SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, California, the Super Bowl champion had some kind words.

Strahan said, “You think about this matchup and you think of the coaches.

“They’re so good looking they look like a boy band shot.”

He was referring to Los Angeles Rams head coach Sean McVay, 38, and Green Bay Packers leader Matt LaFleur, 44.

And the 52-year-old wasn’t finished with his joke as he then looked to Bradshaw.

“You and me would be a boy band shot if we took a picture together,” he told his co-star.

Strahan and Bradshaw had a number of interactions during Sunday’s show.

Ex-Giants star Strahan was forced to tell off Bradshaw after his “harsh” remark.

The Pittsburgh Steelers icon was furious with DeShaun Watson’s abject performance in the Browns’ 34-13 loss to the Commanders.

Watson threw for just 125 yards in Cleveland’s Week 5 thrashing by Washington.

“Do you put Watson down now?” Bradshaw asked.

“He has not played well since he’s been in Cleveland.”

Michael Strahan’s NFL career

Michael Strahan is one of the most recognizable faces on television.

But he came into his media career off the back of a hugely successful stint in the NFL.

Strahan spent 14 years all with the New York Giants from 1993 to 2007.

He was a seven-time Pro Bowler and helped them win the Super Bowl in 2007 – ending the New England Patriots’ hopes of a perfect season.

Strahan was also a two-time NFL sacks leader and also won Defensive Player of the Year.

The ex-Giants star set the single-season sack record with 22.5 in 2001 – a feat which was matched by J.J. Watt exactly 20 years later.

He is one of the best defensive stars to have ever played the game – finishing with 141.5 career sacks and 854 tackles.

But Howie Long interjected and said, “I don’t want to put him down, I’d want to sit him.”

And a laughing Strahan added, “I was thinking the same thing, that was a little harsh.”

Bradshaw and Long shared a fist bump as they saw the funny side of the joke.

The 76-year-old also discussed how Sam Darnold has turned his career around to lead the Minnesota Vikings’ flying start.

“The one thing he maybe was lacking because of the way he was treated was confidence,” Bradshaw said.

“When I’m around say Brad Pitt I can very easily be no confidence in the way I look Michael.

“I happen to think I’m a cute guy, and that makes up for it.”

And a stunned Strahan replied, “He lost me at looking like Brad Pitt.”
