Orlando Pirates did it once more. Jose Riveiro‘s Buccaneers have won another trophy after beating Stellenbosch FC in the MTN8 final.

Taking place at the Moses Mabhida Stadium last Saturday, Stellies took the lead with a Lehlohonolo Mojela bicycle kick after 12 minutes. The Soweto giants later responded with a Monnapule Saleng equaliser in the 43rd minute.
More drama was coming in the final minutes of added time.
Tsegofatso Mabasa took the lead during injury time on 93 minutes before Relebohile Mofokeng delivered the third during the 96th minute.

“It’s not that they trust more in the second half to make things happen, but I feel like when I come in, I work for the team just like the guys who started the game,” Mofokeng said via iDiski Times.
“We all worked hard for the team. The players that started are the ones that tired Stellenbosch out for me to come in when things are already simpler. When I come in from the bench I work too it’s not like I’m trusted more when I come from the bench because I also start games, I score and assist.
“Whether you start or you are on the bench, you must always be ready. Thanks to my teammates for also helping me, even Tshego [Mabasa] he was the one who passed to me so that I could score,” the Orlando Pirates winger concluded.
