NOW winter is on the way many UK homes will be suffering with condensation building up on windows, mirrors and even walls.
While condensation may not seem harmful – it can soon turn dangerous once it forms into mould.

And while removing mould can feel like a never-ending task and while you may not want to deal with it, it shouldn’t be ignored.
The NHS states if you have damp and mould in your home you’re more likely to have respiratory problems, respiratory infections, allergies or asthma.
Damp and mould can also affect the immune system.
Mould grows by producing tiny particles called spores – these are airborne and can spread quickly in your home.
Condensation forms when warm, moist air comes in contact with a cold surface, such as a window, which can lead to water droplets.
Fortunately, cleaning queen Lynsey Crombie has shared her top trick to keep condensation and mould away.
Lynsey revealed washing up liquid is the secret must-have buy to keep condensation at bay during the winter months.
Washing-up liquid creates an invisible barrier on the window and mirrors so that water doesn’t gather.
Lynsey said: “Pop a tiny amount [of washing-up liquid] onto a dry microfibre cloth and rub all over the glass pane.”
She assured “you won’t get smears as you are using the tiniest amount” of washing-up liquid.
Lynsey explained: “This creates a barrier and prevents condensation. This is such a brilliant old-school tip that works so well.”
You can purchase Fairy washing up liquid for as little as £1 in Sainsbury’s.
This can also help save you money on your energy bills as you won’t have to use a dehumidifier to keep it under control.
Another top tip to keep condensation away is make sure the house is well ventilated, especially if you’re drying your clothes indoors without a tumble dryer.

To make sure the house doesn’t get too humid, Lynsey recommends drying clothes on a clothing horse in a room “with good ventilation”.
Find the brightest room in the home so that your laundry dries quickly and place it in front of an open window to dry.
“Close the door to this room whilst the window is open,” Lynsey added.
Other ways condensation can sneak into the house is through cooking and showering.
Make sure to crack open a window and use the ventilating fan to prevent any build up.
