Who is Daze on Big Brother 2024? Meet the climate activist and food lover entering the house

BIG BROTHER is back on our screens with tough challenges set to ensue.

Part of the 2024 line-up of housemates is Daze, who intends to bring her problem solving people skills to the new series.

Daze is a climate activist from London.

She lives on a boat, but as a Big Brother housemate she’s hoping to bring some empathy to the house.

The 24-year-old said: “I hope I bring a listening and empathetic ear.

“Having space to listen to people, and to chat with people.

“I’m a people person.”

On the quiet side

Daze admits she might surprise the other housemates when they come to learn that despite her bubbly, people friendly nature, she’s actually an introvert.

She hopes that by being herself people will see that she intends to be a genuine housemate.

“I think I want to be the best version of myself.

“People see through those with a game plan.”

Talking about her job as a climate activist, Daze seems quite the problem solver, which could be a skill needed in the Big Brother house.

“A lot of it is about community, and meeting people that you might not meet in your everyday life. And figuring out how you make solutions together, how you learn to be together, how you learn to set parameters that end up benefiting everyone.

“This show is a micro version of that.”

The campaigner admits to being in a “difficult financial period”, and opened up about what winning the show would mean to her.

“It’s been a difficult financial period for me – climate activism is quite often something you do in debt” she said.

“It would be nice to have money to do the work.

“I’d also help my family, and other activists as well.

“I’m a Trustee at a grant giving organisation and £1000 goes a long way for some young people who are doing work to change things.

“To have the opportunity to give to someone would mean the world.”

Self-confessed foodie

When it comes to nominations, food was the most likely reason Daze could think of when asked what she thought might irk the housemates about her.

Without hesitation she said: “Food! I like food a lot.

“I know that can sometimes be a contentious thing in the house. So I’m going to try to not eat too much.”

The live launch saw 16 new housemates move into the Big Brother house, including Ryan who was booed by the crowd upon his entrance.

No sooner had all the housemates settled before they were thrown into a challenge that would decide their fate.

The contestants were asked to choose between two house colours, red and blue, with 11 going for red and only five selecting blue.

Each side was tasked to persuade other housemates to join their team as they entered the house.

Over half of the contestants that chose red, now face eviction after being declared “non-housemates” in a first ever twist of the show.

Those who chose blue, including Daze, are safe from the first week of the eviction process.

Big Brother will air daily at 9pm on ITV2 and it will be followed each night by Big Brother: Late & Live – giving viewers additional exclusive content.

The Live Stream is also making a comeback, airing seven nights a week on ITVX.
