‘So pretty it made me shed a tear’ shoppers cry over M&S’ £15 Christmas choc box, but you’ll have to be quick to nab one

THEY knock it out of the park every year.

And it looks like Marks & Spencer has done it again with their newest Christmas offering – a Magical Snowing Forest.

The store in the Menai Centre in Bangor took to TikTok to share a video of the new arrival, which retails for £15.

“You won’t believe what this does,” they wrote over the top of the clip.

In the video, they showed the box as it was, before turning on the fan at the top and inside it.

The fan then blew around white bits designed to look like snow, while a light came on too – adding to the magical experience.

“Is this not just the most stunning Chocolate box ever?!” they captioned the video.

The clip also showed that at the bottom of the box there was a drawer, inside which were “milk and blond truffles“.

And people in the comments section were quick to admit they were desperate to get their hands on one of the boxes, which are being sold in store and on the Ocado website.

Some even admitted they’d been reduced to tears by the magical box.

“So pretty but made me shed a tear,” one wrote.

“This will probably be my last Christmas in my home and it just hit me hard.”

“Tell me why I’m crying over a chocolate box?!” another added.

“So pretty, beautiful, stunning,” a third commented.

“Happy memories as Mum always loved the M&S Christmas, will definitely be looking out for it.”

“I got one for my son who has Autism!” someone else said.

“The excitement this has given him, makes my heart happy.”

“I DONT need it, I DONT need it. runs to shop,” another joked.

Are the Christmas bits out earlier this year?

It often feels like Christmas decorations and products start appearing in stores earlier each year.
Retailers typically begin to stock Christmas items well before the holiday season to capitalise on early shoppers and to extend the buying period. Here are a few reasons why it might seem like Christmas bits are out earlier this year:

Extended Shopping Season
Retailers aim to extend the holiday shopping season to maximise sales. By putting out Christmas items earlier, they encourage people to start their holiday shopping sooner.

Consumer Demand
Some consumers prefer to plan and shop for Christmas well in advance, so stores cater to this demand by stocking holiday items earlier.

Marketing Strategy
Early displays of Christmas items can create a festive atmosphere and build anticipation, encouraging people to get into the holiday spirit and start spending.

Competition
Retailers compete to attract customers, and being the first to display holiday items can give them an edge.

Supply Chain Considerations
Given recent disruptions in global supply chains, stores might be putting out Christmas items earlier to ensure they have enough stock and to spread out the demand over a longer period.

As others admitted the magical box would be the latest addition to their M&S Christmas keepsakes.

“I loved the projector last year, I’m getting this too!” one wrote.

“No one does Christmas like M&S,” another added.

“I need one of these! How magical is that! Well done M&S,” a third commented.

“M&S already smashing Christmas out of the park. Can’t wait to get my hands on this beauty!!” someone else gushed.

“Wow, you can always count on M&S to get it right. Just perfect for Xmas!” another wrote.

“Last year they were amazing we had the lot! i’m running to m&s tomorrow,” someone else said.

“I thought the chocolate light up musical box last year was amazing but this is even better!!!” another insisted.
