SHOPPERS are set to score major discounts as Walmart’s Holiday Deals event gears up.
The retail giant is offering big savings during the five-day event starting on October 8 – the same day as Amazon Prime.

However, Walmart has started a bit early, as members can score nearly $100 off diamond earrings.
For $19.99, shoppers may scoop up the Cate & Chloe Giselle hoop earrings with Swarovski Crystals.
The pair are 18k white gold plated silver hoops and originally cost $115.
Members have the option between white gold, rose gold, or yellow gold all for the same price.
But once the holiday event starts, the earring price drops to $15.99 – an extra 20% off.
SAVVY SAVINGS
The Walmart Holiday Deals Event is from October 8 at 12 pm to October 13 for all shoppers.
However, Walmart+ members get early access 12 hours earlier than the rest.
Customers can expect to find deep discounts on gifts across electronics, toys, home décor, and fashion.
Walmart’s event comes on the same day as Amazon’s Prime Big Deal Day.
Amazon’s deals start on October 8 at 12:01 am and last two days.
Prime members should expect to see millions of deals worldwide including electronics, home, toys, beauty, and apparel.
The e-commerce giant said in a press release that new deals will drop as often as every five minutes during select periods throughout the event.
Just note to score the savings, you must be a Prime member.

Walmart has rejected this assertion.
There are still several kiosks open for non-subscribed customers at Walmart locations.
