Lowe’s apologizes to angry shopper raging service is a ‘travesty’ – says he’s still waiting on order after 7 months


AN ANGRY customer has raged online after Lowe’s customer service let him down.

The unhappy shopper took to X (formally Twitter) to complain about the lack of service provided after waiting seven months for a door.

They wrote: “Has anyone experienced the travesty that is Lowe’s Installation Services.

“I am still waiting for the door I ordered in February. Lots of excuses, little service provided.”

They ended their post by tagging the retail company.

In an act of good faith, Lowe’s apologised to the angry customer.

Commenting underneath the post, they said: “We’re sorry for your experience.

“Please contact our case managers via DM as they have access to your order information and will be in the best position to assist you.

“Thank you.”

It comes after another angry customer took to social media claiming she was overcharged at Lowe’s Market.

She shared a post on Facebook, laying out the alleged overcharges and reporting that she was also billed for an item she didn’t purchase.

In the post, she said that she was overcharged by $15.01 during her recent visit to Lowe’s Market.

Thornton also claimed she was charged for an item she never purchased: cherries.

She marked up her receipt, highlighting the specific items where she believes she was overcharged, sparking a conversation among other customers who had faced similar experiences.

The post quickly garnered attention and comments from other frustrated shoppers, who suggested their own solutions and shared their grievances with the store.

One commenter suggested, “Easy fix. Quit shopping at Lowe’s.”

Another emphasized the importance of taking control at the register, writing, “That’s why I do self check.”

“They are crooks,” a third user claimed.

Meanwhile, customers at Lowe’s have been crying out over a store layout decision.

Some claimed the retailer should’ve separated its decorations better in certain areas as the holiday season approaches.

It’s no secret that stores nationwide are already prepping for Halloween and even Christmas.

Black Friday, the biggest shopping day of the year in the United States, is only 64 days away.

Home improvement retailers like The Home Depot and Lowe’s offer a wide selection of decorations for Halloween far in advance.

A Lowe’s customer went to his local store recently to check out what was already available earlier this week and was furious at what he found.

“This is wrong on so many levels,” wrote shopper LeVolker Cox in a post to Facebook on September 23.

Cox included an image of the decoration section at the Lowe’s store, which featured large Halloween and Christmas items seemingly mixed together.

Giant scarecrows and ghoulish skeletons playing guitars were next to Christmas trees, inflatable Santas, and snowmen.

“First, putting ghouls, ghosts, and witches next to Christmas decorations is wrong,” Cox fumed.

HOLIDAY MISSED

The shopper also felt that while Halloween decorations being available was reasonable, sales shouldn’t have started yet on the items given that it’s still over a month until October 31.

“Second, it’s more than a month to Halloween, and some are already on sale,” he argued.

Cox was also offended that while there were plenty of Halloween and Christmas decorations for sale at Lowe’s, there was supposedly no Thanksgiving decor.

“Third, they totally ignored a special day of Thanksgiving,” he wrote.

“It’s over 3-months to Christmas.”
