Sneaker enthusiasts are buzzing after a rare find by Facebook user Sole Loco.

While browsing through a local Goodwill, they stumbled upon a highly sought-after pair of Nike Olivia Kim x Air Force 1 ’07 FF Betty Boop sneakers priced at just $29.99.

These sneakers, featuring a unique design, are being sold elsewhere for an eye-watering $1,469, making this Goodwill find a true jackpot.

MAJOR FIND

The sneakers feature a white leather upper with clear panels on the sides and toe cap, adding a fresh twist to Nike’s iconic Air Force 1 silhouette.

A nod to pop culture is given through the Betty Boop embroidery near the heel, making the design even more coveted.

The shoe, which boasts a clean white swoosh, black logo accents, and a sturdy white rubber sole, merges a vintage aesthetic with modern trends.

This particular version, the Friends & Family (FF) Olivia Kim collaboration, gained extra notoriety after Lil Uzi Vert was spotted wearing them in the “Adderall (Corvette Corvette) Remix” music video.

Designed with exclusive materials, including transparent detailing, the shoe stands out not only for its looks but also for its rarity.

AIR FORCE 1

The Nike Air Force 1 series itself has been a staple in sneaker culture since its debut in 1982.

When the Air Force 1 debuted in late October of that year, Nike claimed the shoe provided 30 percent better shock absorption and 20 percent more durability compared to standard sneakers.

Once players started wearing them on the court, they were instantly hooked, Nike reports.

Over the years, the Air Force 1 transitioned into a lifestyle sneaker, maintaining its popularity through various updates and collaborations.

The Air Force 1 ’07 features slight changes from the original design, including upgraded materials like suede and mesh for added durability and comfort.

OTHER VERSIONS

In 2007, Nike celebrated the 25th anniversary of its iconic Air Force 1 sneaker by releasing the Air Force XXV, a tribute to the original design.

Valuable thrifting finds revealed

Here are some of the best thrift store finds:

This special edition featured a mismatched set of medallions—one from the classic Air Force 1 and the other representing the Air Force XXV.

To mark the occasion further, Nike introduced two high-end versions of the shoe.

These were crafted in Italy from luxurious crocodile and anaconda leather, and adorned with gold aglets.

These limited-edition sneakers retailed for a staggering $2,000, making them some of the most expensive Nike shoes sold at retail.

In 2009, Nike released the Air Force 09, an update of the original shoe, available in solid black or white.

By 2010, Nike commissioned DJ Clark Kent to design a special edition Air Force 1 Low pack.

For the 35th anniversary in 2017, Nike teamed up with prominent figures like Don C, Kareem “Biggs” Burke, Errolson Hugh, Travis Scott, and Virgil Abloh.
