A NEW Ford model with a fresh display and BlueCruise hands-free mode has got some fans dubbing it a “design disaster”.
The All-New 2025 Expedition is not only spacious and fitted with the latest tech, it’s also the first of its kind.
Designed to give families a whole new experience not only during those long journeys but after.
Its terrain management system tunes in with the vehicles driving dynamics to boost driving efficiency and performance.
An exclusive Rock Crawl mode can make the most difficult challenges seem doable, plus the car is four-wheel-drive.
The car also has 33″ all terrain tires and 10.6″ of ground clearance.
Choose from as many as seven colors, including stone blue and oxford white.
While the interior comes in either salt crystal gray or mojave dusk.
Inside the car, slide the Flex Powered Console up for extra space or bring back for more back seat access.
Lengthy items can now fit down the centre aisle of the car or use the transformed Ford Split Gate to fit even more of those typical bulky holiday items in.
The Cargo Tailgate Manager also functions as a tailgate backrest, shelf or table.
Should it get dark, the 360-Degree Zone Lighting can be activated on particular models. This provides a bit of light around the car.
Plus a 24 inch panoramic display and 13.2 center touchscreen.
Trevor Scott, general manager of Ford Utilities said: “For Expedition customers, family is at the center of everything they do.
“We spent more than 1,100 hours talking with customers about their everyday lives.
“And with those insights we’ve rethought and redesigned Expedition to help customers make the most of their precious time with family and to make life easier – before, during and after every trip they make.”
Yet despite these considerations, one car reviewer took to X, formerly known as Twitter and stated their view.
They posted: “This is a design disaster. Reflector headlamps and no amber rear signals. This isn’t the 90s.
“You couldn’t even design a separate dash from the Lincoln. The new steering wheel is terrible.
“Where are the buttons and knobs? Emergency redesign is needed.”
In response, an X user said: “Why you dragging the 90s into this”.
At the same time, another X user shared their thoughts: “Always liked these and the Navigator, looks nice.”
