Katherine Ryan savages Russell Brand, P Diddy and Christina Aguilera in brutal Glamour Awards speech

ODIOUS blokes take note: Katherine Ryan has got your cards marked.

And there was one weasel-faced, scarf-wearing deadbeat whose ears would have been burning at the Glamour Women Of The Year party.

Katherine took aim at Russell Claim, who she alleged was a ‘sexual predator’ years before he was accused of a series of grim offences[/caption]

Kath, who is as intelligent as she is hilarious, has never named Russell Brand as the man she alleged was “a sexual predator” years before he was accused of a series of grim offences against women.

Brand, to this day, has denied all the allegations. But, as Katherine put it: “If he said it was true, he might end up in jail.”

Hosting the ceremony at Raffles OWO Hotel in central London, before being handed the Feminist Hero gong, Katherine was on fire.

She spoke at length about the nonentity in a bid to clear up what had been written about their run-in — when they appeared together on a never-aired episode of Comedy Central Roast in 2018.

“I’ll tell you everything that went down,” Katherine told the audience, which included Minnie Driver, Jodie Turner-Smith, Mollie King, Vick Hope and Myleene Klass.

‘Soul searching’

“Years ago, I didn’t want to take a job when I learned that he would also be in the cast.

“Then after some soul searching, I thought, ‘Why should I stay home?’.

“He’ll be there in his unnecessarily tight jeans, wearing a hoodie and w***ing off to a Tibetan monk for views, or whatever he gets up to.

“Every time I got a chance to speak to him, I decided I would say stuff like, ‘I’m not getting paid enough to be here, especially considering how many times my face will be on the news when the victims come forward’.”

Kath added: “I wasn’t trying to get him cancelled because everybody already knew. Why didn’t you tell the journalist, Katherine? Everybody knew.

“Why didn’t you tell the police, Katherine? Everybody already knew.”

She also mocked the men, including “comedians, musicians and actors” who got in touch afterwards for a “proof text” to show people it wasn’t them she’d been referring too.

With a glint in her eye, she joked about messaging back: “Do you really think you should be texting me after everything that happened between us?”

‘Can’t I just be a feminist who steals medication from Type 2 diabetics to transform myself into Christina Aguilera?’ joked Katherine during her speech

The roast didn’t end with Brand, as Katherine deadpanned her way through an opening monologue which gave some of Ricky Gervais’ Golden Globes hosting speeches a run for their money.

She said with an eye-roll: “In a single year in the UK, 800,000 women have been victims of sexual assault. Surely P Diddy doesn’t have that kind of reach on the internet?”

She continued: “I, myself, haven’t exercised once in over 40 years, due to the threat of male violence . . . and also, I don’t want to. Can’t I just be a feminist who steals medication from Type 2 diabetics to transform myself into Christina Aguilera?”

Touché.

Before she went on stage, I caught up with Kath, who told me: “I hope I don’t get cancelled.”

No chance. I want a repeat.

Perrie plans the Way ahead

HER new single You Go Your Way is out tomorrow, and Perrie Edwards was buzzing over it when we met up at the after-party, above.

She told me: “It’s a song I did with Joy Anonymous. I absolutely love him.

“He was the best person to work with. I just hope everyone loves it as much as me.”

Perrie’s debut album is expected next year and she has big plans. She added: “I’d love to play live. It’s something I want to do as soon as I’ve got more music out. When I’ve got that material, I will be looking at a tour. That is my dream.

“I have been loving the process, but I just want it out now so I can do some shows.”

Perrie also confirmed she’s still best mates with Little Mix bandmates Leigh-Anne Pinnock and Jade Thirlwall, adding: “It has been so lovely to watch each other doing our own thing.

“In the future I hope that we can do stuff together again. Little Mix will never die.”

TAYLOR STILL TOPS OLD GOLD

MUSIC lovers are going back to the future.

Official Charts UK has revealed heritage acts dominate the biggest albums of 2024 (so far) with their greatest hits offerings.

Five of the Top Ten places are taken up by compilation records thanks to the likes of Eltom John, Abba, and Oasis. Fleetwood Mac’s 50 Years: Don’t Stop from 2018 is No6.

Eminem, who has had a resurgence this year thanks to his 12th album The Death of Slim Shady (Coup de Grâce), comes in at No8 with his greatest hits offering.

The current best-selling album of the year comes from Taylor Swift
With three more months to go, I can’t see anyone knocking The Tortured Poets Department off the top.

CHELLE’S NEW BOOKING?

Michelle Keegan told Bizarre Editor Ellie Henman that there were more series of Brassic to come[/caption]

I MUST have been living under a rock, as I’ve only just got into TV’s excellent Brassic.

Admitting my shame to its star Michelle Keegan, she said there were more series to come after the fourth started streaming last month.

And it’s not the only project she is eyeing up. She became a worldwide sensation thanks to her role in Netflix’s Fool Me Once, a thriller based on the novel by Harlan Coben.

After I spied her reading his novel Think Twice, I asked Michelle if she’d had a script sent her way. She said with a massive smile: “I’d love to work with Harlan again.

“He is a genius, he is so good at what he does.”

Watch this space.

PAM: FILM FREED ME

IT’S been a rough few years for Pamela Anderson – but she’s on the way up again.

And after picking up the Impact Award, the Baywatch actress credited her role in Gia Coppola’s new film The Last Showgirl for bringing her back to life.

She was by Pam’s side all night and the one who gave her the gong on stage.

Pamela said: “Gia, you gave me such a perfect chance in this film. You set the stage for me to shine, a place to put some of my hurt. And this role totally set me free.

“This role helped me shake off the cobwebs of a dream I’d almost forgotten – to be an actress. The mask came off and the world opened up.”

Visibly emotional, she added: “I’m living in the mystery of what no one knows next, and that’s exciting. You get an opportunity to be here, let alone a second chance. I’m a survivor of sexual violence. I now see the pattern I was stuck in. And I know it takes tremendous strength to heal.

“These last few years felt like a fresh slate. What happened to me defined me. But it’s what I do that defines me.

“This is what my best looks like. And that’s good enough.”

Hear, hear, Pammi.
