NICHOL Kessinger is the former mistress of murderer Chris Watts, a man who killed his pregnant wife and two children.

Who is Nichol Kessinger?
Although not much is known about Nichol’s life before the affair, we do know that she lived in Colorado.
She began an affair with Chris in July 2018, but was unaware he was still in a relationship.
According to Nichol, she believed Chris and Shanann were separated and were nearing the end of divorce proceedings.
Nichol described her confusion at receiving a frightening text from Chris at 3:45pm on the day that his family disappeared.
The text read that his family had “gone”.
She also opened up about her shock when journalists began asking her questions about the man she thought she knew when the news of his family’s disappearance broke.
What did Chris Watts do to his wife Shanann?
Shanann was last seen being driven home after a business trip by a friend named Nickole Utoft Atkinson.
Nickole phoned the police when Shanann missed her gynecology appointment booked for that same day.
A police welfare check found that Shanann’s wedding ring was still in the house and that the family car, with car seats belonging to the couple’s children inside, was still in the garage.
Chris appeared on several TV programmes calling for his family’s return but later admitted to his father that he had killed Shanann.
He was arrested on August 15, 2018, but claimed that Shanann had killed their children, Bella and Celeste.
On August 16, the family’s bodies were found at the oil field where Chris worked.
Shanann’s body was found in a shallow grave and his daughters were each found in a crude oil tank.
It was eventually revealed that Chris was solely responsible for the murders and that he had smothered his daughters.

Chris received five life sentences for the murder of his family but was spared the death penalty by Shanann’s family who did not want more death.
He also received 48 years in prison for the unlawful termination of Shanann’s pregnancy and 36 additional years for tampering with a deceased body.
While in prison, Chris wrote a series of letters, one of which spoke about his anger towards Nichol.
Chris wrote: “The words of a harlot have brought me low. Her flattering speech was like drops of honey that pierced my heart and soul. Little did I know that all her guests were in the chamber of death.”
