Motion by Horton, seconded by Meis, to open the Drainage Board meeting at 10:15 am for the Westfield Drainage Dist. #3. Present was Don Kass, Craig Anderson, John Meis, Mike Van Otterloo and Gary Horton.
Motion Carried.
County Engineer Tom Rohe reviewed pictures showing the drainage ditch conditions in the Westfield Drainage Dist. with trees that are down since that last time the ditch was cleaned out and due to recent flooding in June of 2024. The Secondary Road dept. will be removing the trees and debris that are in the ditch late fall of 2024; which the Board agreed. Currently there is $98,000 in the Westfield Drainage Dist. fund.
Motion by Meis, seconded by Anderson, to have the County Secondary Road department complete drainage ditch maintenance the fall of 2024. Motion Carried.
Tom Rohe and Gary Horton plan to meet with the Mayor of Westfield and Bill Michael to discuss a washout hole along the berm just outside of the Westfield Drainage Dist. on Bill Michael’s land adjacent to the City of Westfield’s lagoons.
Motion by Horton, seconded by Van Otterloo, to adjourn the drainage dist. meeting ended at 10:41 am.

The Plymouth County Board of Supervisors met in the Courthouse Boardroom on September 24, 2024 at 9:30 a.m. Chairman Don Kass called the meeting to order. All votes following are a roll call vote of an aye per each board member, unless otherwise indicated. The pledge of allegiance was recited.
Motion by Anderson, seconded by Meis, to approve the 9/24/2024 agenda. Motion Carried.
Motion by Horton, seconded by Van Otterloo, to approve the 9/17/2024 board minutes. Motion Carried.
Motion by Anderson, seconded by Horton, to approve setting the Plymouth County Wind Urban Renewal informational meeting to 9:00 am on October 1, 2024 instead of on October 8, 2024 which was previously set.
Motion Carried.
Motion by Meis, seconded by Horton, to appoint Joseph Vondrak as the Hancock Township Clerk to replace Julie Petronis-Ludwigs effective 1/1/25. Motion Carried.
Motion by Horton, seconded by Meis, to approve a permit to Cherokee Rural Water in Section 35/36 of Fredonia Township on L12. Motion Carried.
The Board of Supervisors adjourned the meeting at 10:14 am and held a Drainage Board meeting at 10:15 am.
