He wrote: “Three become four. I’m very proud of my lovely wife for the last 9 months. Mum and baby doing well, including an incredibly excited big sister.”

His followers were delighted for him and commented in their droves.

One person said: “Oh my gawd. Congratulations to all four of you. Beautiful boy. Hope your wife and baby are ok.”

Another wrote: “Congratulations!! Enjoy your little ones!”

A third said: “Massive congratulations! Hope baby and mum are doing well.”

The carpenter gave fans a rare glimpse into his home life earlier this summer as he proudly read his book, Restore, to his eldest daughter.

Will’s baby news is a welcome boost for The Repair Shop‘s tight-knit cast after a difficult summer.

The Beeb have axed host Jay Blades from this year’s upcoming Christmas special of renovation show The Repair Shop after he was charged with coercive behaviour towards his ex-wife.

The creators, Ricochet, are said to be considering a permanent replacement for him and are already eyeing up Will and fellow craftsman Dominic Chinea from the series.

Will works in carpentry and is a cabinetmaker, so anything to do with woodwork means he gets a call to help restore the item.

He got into his line of work after seeing his grandad working in his workshop – so carpentry has been in the family for some time.

As a student he studied graphic design at the prestigious University of the Arts, then went on to do another degree in antique furniture restoration and conservation.

He worked in Italy for a while afterwards but returned to London, eventually setting up his own workshop in 2012 with a team of craftsmen.

Kirk’s first TV appearance came in 2013 on Channel 4’s The French Connection.

He went on to feature on BBC‘s What to Buy and Why, and then joined The Repair Shop in 2017 as a furniture restorer.
