Acid attack at school leaves girl, 14, with horror injuries & two others in hospital as manhunt launched for suspect

AN acid attack at a school has left a 14-year-old girl with horror injuries and two others in hospital – with a manhunt launched for the suspect.

Patrol cops were flagged down by staff at the Westminster Academy in central London following the horror at 4.42pm yesterday.

An “acidic” substance was allegedly thrown at pupils and a staff member at the school.

Cops scrambled to the scene along with with paramedics and the London Fire Brigade.

They found three people injured – a 16-year-old boy, a 14-year-old girl and a 27-year-old woman.

The girl, whose injuries may potentially be life-changing, remains in hospital.

The boy, whose injuries are not life-threatening or life-changing, also remains in hospital.

The woman, whose condition is not life-threatening or life-changing, has been discharged in from hospital.

Scotland Yard said: “Tests of the substance are ongoing. At this stage officers believe it to be acidic.”

“Urgent enquiries are under way to identify and arrest those responsible.”

A number of crime scenes are in place following the alleged acid attack yesterday.

Two cops were taken to hospital as a precaution after they reported feeling unwell.
