Sam, 31, was announced on ITV’s This Morning today and appeared in the studio dressed as a snowman.

Hosts Cat Deeley and Ben Shephard were given the job of identifying two of the celebrities today, and revealed who was inside the costume.

Cat started to chant: “Take it off, take if off, take it off!”

Sam told them: “I was glad to take that off, I’m sweating!

“It’s something I always wanted to do. It came about and it was one of them. I hadn’t thought about it in the past, the press office mentioned it and I thought yeah.”

Sam said he auditioned to get a basic sence of what it would be like.

He said: “They basically stand you on the ice. But I got a real buzz experiencing it a little bit.”

Sam added: “My son is pretty excited about it, he’s only young but when I told him he said, ‘can I come, can I come?’ He’s only four!”

Sam began his acting career at the age of five in an ad promoting school uniforms for Asda.

He was then picked to appear in an advert for Warburtons bread.

The Sun also revealed iconic EastEnders villain Charlie Brooks has signed up to appear.

Charlie, 43, who played superbitch Janine Butcher in Albert Square, is the latest star to join the ITV celebrity skate show.

It comes after she won I’m a Celebrity . . . in 2012.

A telly source said: “Charlie’s a brilliant signing.

“She has a huge fanbase from EastEnders and has tons of personality and feisty energy.

“The ITV bookers hope she can recreate some of her on-screen I’m a Celeb magic.

“They are making the most of the fact many female stars have avoided Strictly this year amid all the scandal.

“It’s going to be a belting line-up.”

Charlie left BBC1’s EastEnders in 2022 and has since played the Child Catcher in a West End production of Chitty Chitty Bang Bang.

Ferne and Charlie join The Traitors model Mollie Pearce, 22, and soap actress Chelsee Healey, 36, in Dancing on Ice 2025.
