A PAIR of besties have shared their “ultimate lazy girl beauty hack” for having soft skin – and it’s particularly useful for winter.
During winter, the low humidity outdoors can interact with indoor heating to strip moisture from the skin, leading to dryness.

Therefore, it’s imperative to keep your cells as hydrated as possible when the chill kicks in.
And according to the women behind the Two Broke Chicks podcast, a Kardashian-approved “lazy girl hack” is the way to go.
The show is hosted by best friends Sally McMullen and Alex Hourigan – better known to their listeners as Sal and Al.
The “ultimate hack” for having soft and supple skin in winter is to “incorporate oil into your shower”, they said.
“So, when you finish your shower, you put body oil on when your skin is still wet,” Alex explained.
“And then you dry.
“My skin is so soft.”
Sally then interrupted: “You know who does that?
“Kylie Jenner and Khloe Kardashian.”
When your skin is still wet, the water on the surface hasn’t evaporated yet.
Applying oil at this stage helps trap the water in the skin, creating a barrier that seals in moisture.
The hack is actually recommended by dermatologists, and even works with standard body lotions.
However, it’s especially beneficial with oils as they don’t seep into the skin like creams do.
Instead, oils mainly nourish the surface layers of skin and prevent moisture loss by sealing over cells.

Coconut oil
Coconut oil is highly moisturising and rich in fatty acids (especially lauric acid), which help to nourish the skin and create a protective barrier. It has antimicrobial properties, making it beneficial for soothing irritation and minor skin conditions.

Particularly, natural oils contain essential fatty acids that support and strengthen the skin’s lipid barrier.
This barrier is crucial for retaining moisture and protecting the skin from environmental factors which can lead to dryness.
Sisters Kylie and Khloe revealed their love for post-shower oil drenching in a clip on the Kylie Cosmetics YouTube channel.
“I drench myself in, like, organic oils that I got off of Amazon,” Kylie told.
“Almond oil or olive oil or jojoba oil.”
