And every year heads off on a strict juicing retreat[/caption]

Ahead of the current series of the BBC One competition Shirley started a series of non-envasive NeoGen Plasma treatments as an alternative to going under the knife.

She said: “Just like anybody, I just want to look the best that I can at my age, but the problem is that when you reach mid 60s and older, it gets so much harder to keep your skin looking in great shape, and I was keen to find a non-surgical way to revitalise my skin.”

Treatments include procedures to remove lines and wrinkles as well as micro-needling and radio frequency sessions.

Every year just before Strictly season Shirley heads off on a Jason Vale juice retreat in Portugal, which sets her back an eye-watering £1, 457 per week.

Each day follows a structured schedule, beginning with meditation and yoga.

A morning walk and circuit training session are followed by a refreshing juice break, a spin class, and another yoga session.

The afternoon includes additional juice, high-intensity training, rebounding, and a game of volleyball.

To conclude the day, guests enjoy a final juice, yoga practice, and a nourishing soup.

But Shirley also has a strict beauty regime that she follows.

She previously told woman&home: “I never go to bed without using moisturizer and over the last five years I’ve mostly used Liz Earle products. They’re great!

“I also use Nivea and Astral cream, and any kind of moisturizing mask for my hands, feet and face. When you get older, your hands and neck are the first things to age.”

But Shirley isn’t ruling out surgery down the line and admits to having Botox occasionally.

She said: “I am partial to a little Botox. I like a bit maybe twice a year and, I’m not going to lie, I’m open to a facelift.

“When I look at myself on the telly, I don’t like the way my chin’s looking from the side profile so I’ll go and see the guy who did my boobs and if I do it, I’ll be transparent.”
