CUSTOMERS at Lowe’s have been crying out over a store layout decision.

Some claimed the retailer should’ve separated its decorations better in certain areas as the holiday season approaches.

It’s no secret that stores nationwide are already prepping for Halloween and even Christmas.

Black Friday, the biggest shopping day of the year in the United States, is only 64 days away.

Home improvement retailers like The Home Depot and Lowe’s offer a wide selection of decorations for Halloween far in advance.

A Lowe’s customer went to his local store recently to check out what was already available earlier this week and was furious at what he found.

“This is wrong on so many levels,” wrote shopper LeVolker Cox in a post to Facebook on September 23.

Cox included an image of the decoration section at the Lowe’s store, which featured large Halloween and Christmas items seemingly mixed together.

Giant scarecrows and ghoulish skeletons playing guitars were next to Christmas trees, inflatable Santas, and snowmen.

“First, putting ghouls, ghosts, and witches next to Christmas decorations is wrong,” Cox fumed.

HOLIDAY MISSED

The shopper also felt that while Halloween decorations being available was reasonable, sales shouldn’t have started yet on the items given that it’s still over a month until October 31.

“Second, it’s more than a month to Halloween, and some are already on sale,” he argued.

Cox was also offended that while there were plenty of Halloween and Christmas decorations for sale at Lowe’s, there was supposedly no Thanksgiving decor.

“Third, they totally ignored a special day of Thanksgiving,” he wrote.

“It’s over 3-months to Christmas.”

Several others echoed similar grievances with Cox’s photograph.

MYLOWE’S REWARDS TIERS EXPLAINED

Here are the tiers included in the Lowe’s rewards program:

  • Bronze Key: Earns 1 point per dollar spent and offers free standard shipping on eligible purchases of $35 or more.
  • Silver Key: Earns 1.25 points per dollar and includes free standard shipping on eligible items with no minimum purchase required.
  • Gold Key: Earns 1.5 points per dollar and provides free standard shipping on eligible items with no purchase minimum.

“My heart breaks,” a fellow shopper commented.

“Totally agree with you!” another exclaimed.

Other retailers like Dollar Tree have also come under fire from some shoppers for already putting Christmas decorations out.

SPECIAL EVENT

While some Lowe’s customers might not be thrilled about the retailer’s decoration decisions, they can look forward to MyLowe’s Rewards Week starting on October 10 and going through October 16.

The member-exclusive sales event awards customers discounts of up to 40% on a wide variety of merchandise, including holiday decorations, bathroom products, decor lighting, select tools, and storage essentials.

Additionally, those members who spend at least $50 or more will earn a $5 cash bonus in MyLowe’s Money to be used on deals.

Those who don’t have a MyLowe’s Rewards account can sign up now for free before the event begins and take advantage of other promotions and discounts all year long.

To join, checkout Lowes.com/MyLowesRewards.

Lowe’s customers have also been particularly peeved with its self-checkout kiosks this year.

A customer promised to boycott the retailer after staff’s “response” to a checkout change this summer.

Another shopper of 25 years “canceled” their credit card with Lowe’s after a self-checkout ordeal.
