SHOPPERS are rushing to add Aldi’s new seasonal doormat to their homes in time for Halloween.

The spooky buy is perfect for greeting trick or treaters and is only on sale for a limited time.

Aldi

Amazon

Shoppers can also pick up a similar style mat from Amazon for $25[/caption]

Aldi fans are also in for a bargain as a similar style mat is available from Amazon for over three times the price.

The Huntington Home Fall Coir Mat is currently listed for $6.99, per the retailer’s site.

Meanwhile, a pricier option from the Mainevent Store retails for $24.95 on Amazon.

That’s a 70% difference in price, saving customers just under $18.

Aldi’s version of the fall decor comes in five different designs, with the pumpkin shape resembling the Amazon alternative.

The budget-friendly versions measures 30 inches by 18 inches and reads “Hey There Pumpkin.”

Similarly, the Amazon doormat is only slightly smaller at 30 inches by 17 inches.

This version of the mat simply has the word “Welcome” written in cursive.

Aldi shoppers can also opt for a more traditional welcome mat as the product comes in a variety of styles.

As well as a simple welcome surrounded by autumn leaves, a “Hello Fall” version is available.

You can also pick up mats which resemble advertisements for pumpkin patches and apple orchards.

Both Amazon and Aldi’s Halloween doormats offer slip resistance with vinyl backing.

While the bristles on both mats are specifically designed to withstand harsh conditions and remove dirt from shoes, some Amazon shoppers shared their disappointment.

They shared their thoughts on the product in the site’s review section.

“I bought it because it’s cute, but upon opening it the bristles starting falling out just from touching it with my hand,” wrote one person.

“This is three times the cost of a mat from a store like Dollar General and yet much worse quality. Don’t waste your time and money.”

“When it rained, this mat bled an orange color all over the white on my plaid mat underneath,” said another shopper.

“I washed it and it did not come out. Make sure you don’t leave this mat in the rain.”

Another unimpressed buyer said “the writing was smeared” when their mat arrived.

Halloween dupes

There are several Halloween dupes to help you celebrate on a budget.

Dollar Tree has $3 haunted plants that are 90% cheaper than the ones at Michael’s.

The discount store also has hanging pats for just $1.25, while a major competitor sells them for $15.

Pottery Barn fans found a dupe for the store’s famous floating ghosts that are 61% cheaper.

Shoppers even found a dupe for Disney’s famous character pumpkins at Kohl’s.

Shoppers suggested a “better quality control” be implemented given the price.

Others said they “expected more” from the product.

However, despite their issues most people still rated the style of the mat highly.

“Bled quite a bit after the first rain. Stained the rug I had under it. But otherwise adorable,” wrote one Amazon user.
