A motorist was placed in handcuffs after a crash involving a luxury sports car worth hundreds of thousands of dollars in Orange County Sunday night.
Newport Beach police and firefighters were called to the 7700 block of East Pacific Coast Highway after an Aston Martin DBS was involved in a crash around 7 p.m.
Witnesses told freelance media firm TNLA that the driver of an Aston Martin lost control of the vehicle on PCH and crashed into a red SUV.
A man was later led to a patrol car in handcuffs following a sobriety test at the scene.
The unidentified man was seen stumbling during the test and was arrested on suspicion of DUI, according to TNLA.
The crash occurred near Crystal Cove Shake Shack, where an employee told TNLA that several customers instantly ran to observe the incident.
One person said that a woman was bleeding from her head and was transported by ambulance in unknown condition.
A new Aston Martin DBS is valued at more than $300,000, according to Kelly Blue Book.
